B Strategy, a firm founded by former Bitmain executives, announced plans to launch a Nasdaq-listed company focused on BNB. The treasury aims to raise up to $1 billion in its initial phase with backing from YZi Labs, the family office linked to Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ). The structure will allow institutions regulated exposure to Binance’s native token.
Co-founder Leon Lu said the treasury’s aim is to “maximize BNB per share and provide full transparency to investors.” Max Hua, also a co-founder and Bitmain’s former CFO, said the company would rely on independent audits and strict risk controls while meeting US regulatory standards.
CZ confirmed YZi Labs’ involvement through X, noting that the firm is a supporter but “not the lead sponsor,” describing the project as “another B Strategy” capital raise.
Investor Interest in BNB Grows
BNB has gained close to 40% over the past six months, with prices reaching a record $899 on August 22. At the time of writing, it was trading near $846, down 3% in the past day. Despite short-term volatility, demand for BNB continues to rise.
Ella Zhang, head of YZi Labs, said,
“BNB is central to stablecoins, real-world assets, and the future of financial systems. This treasury initiative will help push its mainstream adoption.”
Past examples show strong reactions to similar moves. CEA Industries, a former vaping company, shifted to a BNB treasury model and saw its shares jump more than 500% following the announcement.
Technical Pressure Builds
BNB’s chart shows a potential bearish ABCD pattern forming after the recent peak. Alpha Crypto Signal noted the token remains above its 50-day moving average near $782 but has slipped under the 9-day EMA around $853.
The $800–$820 level is viewed as key support. “If BNB starts closing below the EMA9 and loses momentum, the ABCD could play out with deeper downside,” the analysis stated. Trader Crypto Tony added,
“$870 reclaim is a long play, but if we begin to reject here then you could short while below $850.”
Bridge Between Asia and US Markets
B Strategy positions itself as a link between Asian family offices and Wall Street capital. Anchor investors from Asia are already involved in the fundraising, which is expected to close in the coming weeks.
Beyond accumulating BNB, the treasury plans to fund technology, offer grants to blockchain projects, and support initiatives tied to the Binance ecosystem. The company has emphasized strong governance to avoid outcomes like Windtree Therapeutics, which faced a Nasdaq delisting after holding BNB reserves.
